Mgreens Brand Identity, Web & Packaging Design

Mgreens is an agri startup in Sri Lanka focused on microgreens and ready-to-eat salad mixes for health-conscious urban consumers. I developed a fresh, organic-inspired brand identity that helps Mgreens stand out in a competitive market and resonate with young, eco-aware customers who value sustainability and healthy eating.

Microgreens are young, edible seedlings of vegetables and herbs, harvested just after the first leaves develop. Known for their intense flavor, vibrant colors, and concentrated nutrients, microgreens are popular among chefs, home cooks, and health enthusiasts as a fresh, nutrient-dense addition to salads, sandwiches, and a variety of dishes.

Challenge

Mgreens was launching into a competitive health food market in Sri Lanka, where microgreens were still unfamiliar to many. The challenge was to craft a fresh, memorable brand that educated consumers, appealed to young eco-conscious buyers, and stood out on busy supermarket shelves, while building trust as a new startup.

Approach

I focused on creating a clean, nature-inspired identity that reflects Mgreen’s core values of freshness, simplicity, and sustainability. The logo was inspired by microgreens themselves, with the letter "m" formed using three sprouting plantlings to symbolize growth and vitality. The color palette and packaging were designed to feel modern and organic, helping educate customers about microgreens while standing out on shelves and social media.
