Central Bank of Sri Lanka
Strategic Plan
The "Strategic Plan" is a key internal document of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, outlining the institution’s objectives, priorities, and implementation roadmap for the next five years. It was designed primarily for internal stakeholders, including senior management and staff, to serve as a clear and accessible reference guide. The publication presented departmental goals and strategies in a well-structured format, combining formal content with a clean, professional design and the use of CBSL’s corporate colours to ensure clarity, consistency, and brand alignment across the institution.

deliverables
-
Full publication design and layout (print-ready and internal PDF)
-
Trilingual formatting: English, Sinhala, and Tamil
-
Professional photography direction for departmental leadership sections
-
Custom infographics and charts for strategic priorities
-
Press coordination and pre-press checks (proofing, color accuracy, finishing)
Challenge
The project required managing complex trilingual typesetting while maintaining visual consistency. Coordinating leadership photography sessions across multiple departments, handling multiple approval layers, and managing tight timelines for printing and delivery added further complexity.
role
-
I managed the complete design and production process, including:
-
Layout and formatting of trilingual content (English, Sinhala, and Tamil)
-
Direction of leadership photography (Directors, Additional Directors, and Deputy Directors)
-
Coordination with the printing press to ensure high-quality print production and timely delivery.

Approach
I applied a clear typographic hierarchy suitable for all three languages. For photography, I maintained uniform lighting and composition for all leadership portraits to achieve consistency, and the photographs were post-processed to black and white to match the formal tone of the publication. I also incorporated CBSL’s corporate colours throughout the design to reinforce brand identity. Additionally, I worked closely with the printing press to ensure accurate colour reproduction, proper paper selection, and a professional finish.
